Hi, we're planning to host multible events 3 weeks long in Berlin and around which is focused on grassroots and commons. We're strongly interested in connecting the different parts of grassroots with the hope of building based on them a functioning society. There are more then enough people to be able to change the way society is funtion. But as most of us are "chained" in "personal" projects we loose a lot of our potential....and beeing by that again forced to act within the logic of the system. Let's bring back all needed function for a society as a commons.
...this is the very beginning. Our first gathering to plan all the comming steps will happen in the comming weeks. You could help us a lot through spreading the message (but DON't use fb), and by pointing us out initatives we should get in conntact.
Beside that I hope you might be interested by yourself joining us! Please give me some feedback. :-)
This is the first invitation mail I'll sended into my network:
great we could reach you! Here are Paul Free and butze from yunity. We have some ambiguous plans within the upcoming month and would be highly interested in your feedback! It's essentially about taking the grassroots sharing movement to its next stage. You might be interested in joining the upcoming actions and with just a couple of minutes reading you're already part of the first action. This is a glocall! A call for global responsibility within local environments. A continuous commitment for local and global change. Why? We envision a society based on collaboration, self-determination, trust and the freedom to be active. We see sharing as a way coming closer to a world we're dreaming of. And we see sharing building bridges into this world, whenever we open our eyes for deeper human relationships. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd8R0pYib9s) (normally you should see a video here. Otherwise just click on the link and come after back to the mail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd8R0pYib9s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd8R0pYib9s)) How?
Our interest is to create a network of collaboration to break all the constraints that economy and society is creating. Through sharing we want to seed communities, open access, prevent waste, minimalize having & maximize being and let joy and happiness emerge.Through sharing we are bringing self-organization into concrete implementation.Imagine the branches the tree of society would need to stand solid, grow dynamically and flourish in colorful blossoms. And then imagine people coming together with the will to organize within the art and logic of sharing. What? We want to raise the question, what does a society need to function well and how can we get there. Of course we are not the first ones asking this questions, and many people all over the world are working on solutions. But so far most endeavors are separated within social bubbles, free collaboration is retained by the constraints of exchange and the patterns of competition are still very much present, especially the grassroots sharing movement is fragmented into hippies, radical anarchists, ecologists, academics, etc.. So we are creating spaces for them to meet so that collaboration in-between multiple similar projects can happen on a bigger scale.
How are we going to get together? Well, a lot of gatherings are happening all over the world. Most of the time events are about the event itself, afterwords there are no further pursued activities and the momentum falls again apart. But to create a cohesive grassroots movement of sharing, we need to come together. We are starting with a 5 days (21-25 June) gathering close to Berlin on the fusion festival ground. After that we move into Berlin, where there is a big seminar house inviting us for 3 weeks, and there are more big houses opening their rooms (so far 3x 150m²) for activist who want to learn from each other, to organize and to share the creative process of developing systems that encourage change. After the event in Berlin there are a lot of free-rooms waiting to be filled the life of a social experiment that is moving towards a world of sharing, art and expansion of freedom instead of concurrence an limitation. And now it is up to you Now we're calling you! To the very first meeting to kickstart the glocall. You are warmly invited to take part in getting into a deeper dialog about the outlined idea. Nothing is written in stone, nothing is perfect, everything is in process, everything is permanent beta, and we are waiting for your input! Because we can only create a future that is meaningful to all of us, if we create it together. Let's meet up and start with why, which is the very glue to foster human relationships. We can only find trust to each other and collaborate if we can understand and feel good if we answer the question: why are we doing, what we want to do!If anything sounds of interest to you, please engage with us here: To change anything start somewhere, to change everthing start anywhere. The revolt starts within you, Paul Free & butze
